About SP:H

We come from the project business. With everything that comes with it.

Good ideas. Not enough time. Lots of people involved. Quotes worth reading twice.

And of course the classic: “We’ll make it work.”

Most of the time, we did.

Today, though, we are less interested in whether you can somehow get to the finish line. We care about whether the way there is sensible, transparent and based on good decisions.

Sound familiar?
“Something about this still doesn’t feel right.”
“Are these quotes actually comparable?”
“What would you do in our position?”
“Do we actually need this?”
You
know your project, your goals and the questions behind them.
Your team
knows the reality, the processes and the challenges.
We
bring experience, structure and a second perspective.
And then? We take a look at it together.
How we understand collaboration

When we work on a project together, we are genuinely in it.

We do not want to stand on the sidelines and explain how your project should theoretically work.

We listen. We ask questions. We look at what is actually happening.

And while we are working together, we treat your project with the same attention we would give to one of our own.

We are genuinely happy when something works. We pay attention when something feels off. And when things get difficult, we do not look away just because it becomes uncomfortable.

Not from above. Not from the outside. Together.

What that means to us We do not just want to advise. We want to think with you.

And sometimes that means asking the question nobody really wanted to hear. Or simply saying: let’s take another look.

Project reality

We have been at quite a few points along this line.

Over many years, we have planned, scoped, procured, calculated, steered and supported projects through delivery.

We have led large projects, coordinated project teams, managed budgets, procured services, evaluated quotations and worked with clients, agencies, production companies and service providers.

You learn pretty quickly: the same project looks very different from procurement than it does from production. And different again from project management or a specialist supplier.

Those different perspectives help us understand more quickly where things are actually getting stuck.

Idea Sounds good.
Planning How do we actually make this work?
Procurement Are the quotes comparable?
Budget Wait. Why more?
Steering Who is actually deciding?
Delivery Now it has to work.
Result Done.
“Just one tiny change…”
“Was that actually agreed?”
“Okay. Now it works.”
Project life. More or less.
Experience

We have seen quite a lot of project life.

Large project teams. Small core teams. Big budgets. Smaller budgets. Long lead times. And timelines where “ambitious” was still putting it politely.

We have carried responsibility, made decisions, reorganised projects when the original plan suddenly stopped working, and learned that a calm second look can sometimes achieve more than another round of escalation.

That helps us enormously today.

Not because it means we know everything.

But because a lot feels familiar — while every project still deserves a fresh look.

Experience does not mean: “That’s how we’ve always done it.”

It means: “We know where it is worth taking a closer look together.”
Independence

We can also say no.

Not because we want to know better.

But because we want to find the best decision for your project together.

SP:H does not sell production or its own technical services. We do not need to turn a small issue into a big project.

If something makes sense, we say: Do it.

If we see a better way: Do it differently.

And if something is not worth the money, time or energy: Leave it.

Starting point “Should we do this?”
Question one Does it make sense?
Question two Is it proportionate?
Question three Does it move the project forward?
When it fits DO IT.

Sensible. Clear. Move forward.

When there is a better way DIFFERENTLY.

Do not discard it. Solve it better.

And sometimes LEAVE IT.

Saying no can be a very good decision.

Independence does not mean being against something. It means being free enough to give the answer that actually makes sense.

Empowerment

And hopefully, one day you will need us less.

That might sound like an unusual goal for a consultancy.

We think it is a pretty good one.

We do not want to keep knowledge to ourselves. We explain why we assess things the way we do. We share experience, make connections visible and involve you in the decisions.

Because in the end, there should not simply be a decision on the table.

You should also feel confident about it because you understand how that decision was reached.

At the beginning “Can you assess this for us?”

Of course. We will look at it together.

Somewhere in the middle “Okay. Now I understand what we need to look out for.”

That is where consulting turns into collaboration.

Eventually “We can do this ourselves next time.”

Great. That is exactly the point.

Good consulting should make people stronger.
And what are we actually like?

Serious about the work. Not always about ourselves.

We like good projects. We like people with ideas. And we like that moment when a fairly messy situation suddenly becomes clear again.

We listen. We discuss. We laugh sometimes. And we ask again when an answer does not convince us.

We can have different opinions and still work together to find the best solution.

And we have no problem changing our own view when the better argument is on the table.

Because in the end, it is not about who was right. It is about the project working.

We listen first.
We say when we do not understand something.
We would rather explain things clearly than make them sound impressively complicated.
We celebrate together when something works really well.
And when it does not, we do not disappear behind a presentation.
While we are working together, your project should feel a little bit like our project too.
Responsibility

Maybe that is the most important part in the end: feeling responsible.

For a project. For a decision. For people who place their trust in you.

For us, that sense of responsibility does not end with the final project meeting, an acceptance or an invoice.
Because sometimes, one decision can move much more than just a project.
One topic that matters deeply to us

Sometimes, it is not about projects. It is about people.

The work of DKMS is one of those topics for us.

And in the future, we want to use our experience, our network and the opportunities available to us to create awareness, bring people together and encourage people to take part.

Something is taking shape.

Not everything is ready to be talked about yet.

But one thing is:

Get registered.

A little bit of time. One registration. A very small decision.

And maybe one day, that exact decision will mean far more to another person than you could imagine today.

You cannot change everything. But maybe you can change everything for one person.

Let’s get to know each other

You do not need to explain your project perfectly. Telling us what is going on is enough to start.

Maybe you already know exactly where things are getting stuck. Maybe you simply have a feeling that something is not quite right.

Both are perfectly good starting points.

Tell us what is going on. We will listen. Then we will take a look together.
