Expertise | SP:H – Independent Project & Event Consulting
Expertise

Expertise starts where standard answers stop being enough.

Independent perspective.
Real project experience.

We support companies when projects become complex, commercial decisions carry weight and a clear perspective is needed between scope, budget, responsibility and delivery.

Where our expertise becomes relevant

When experience alone is no longer enough.

Complexity rarely comes from one single mistake. It emerges where decisions, interests, budgets and interfaces collide.

The budget is changing — but why?
We make cost drivers, changes and commercial dependencies visible.
Several proposals — but no real comparability?
We separate price, scope, assumptions and risk.
Too many stakeholders — not enough clarity?
We clarify roles, interfaces and decision paths.
A decision is due — but what is it based on?
We create a sound basis for making that decision.
Core Expertise

Four perspectives. One goal: better decisions.

We do not sell standard packages. Our areas of expertise overlap wherever your project currently needs the greatest leverage. Click or tap a section to learn more.

Our perspective

We do not just look at what is being decided.

We also look at how the decision was reached, which assumptions sit behind it and what consequences it creates across the rest of the project.

01
Current state
What is actually there?
02
Assumptions
What is being assumed?
03
Risk
What could go wrong?
04
Decision
What actually holds up?
05
Impact
What happens next?
What we actually review

Not just the numbers. The system behind them.

A budget may look plausible while still being built on the wrong assumptions. A timeline may look complete while still missing a critical interface. That is why we look at the connections.

Budget
Costs, changes, contingencies, dependencies and commercial viability.
Scope
What is included? What is not? Where do later changes begin?
Timing
Milestones, decision windows, dependencies and critical path.
Roles
Ownership, approvals, interfaces and decision responsibility.
Partners & suppliers
Dependencies, scope boundaries and interaction between external partners.
Risk
Scenarios, hidden assumptions and possible downstream effects.
Project & Event DNA

We know the reality, not just the model.

Our perspective comes from projects where many disciplines have to work at the same time: exhibitions, corporate events, product presentations, complex live formats and project structures with high visibility and significant budget responsibility.

That experience allows us to assess concepts beyond the theoretical level. We understand what a decision can later mean for build-up, production, technology, supplier management and day-to-day delivery.

Operational experience — applied as independent advisory.
Clear roles

Advisory works better when everyone knows their role.

What SP:H stands for
  • independent review and assessment
  • structuring complex project situations
  • commercial perspective on budgets and scope
  • sparring for project leads, procurement and management
  • support around decisions and critical project phases
  • practical expertise from real project and event environments
What we deliberately are not
  • not a full-service event agency
  • not a production supplier
  • not an exhibition builder or technical supplier
  • not a supplier brokerage platform
  • not an advisory business with a financial interest in delivery
  • not a legal or tax advisory service
How we can step in

As much advisory as needed. No more.

Not every project needs a long-term engagement. SP:H can be involved selectively, for a specific project phase or as an independent sparring partner over a longer period.

POINT REVIEW
One focused perspective.

For a defined question, a proposal, a budget, a tender or an upcoming decision.

For example: proposal review · budget review · second opinion
PROJECT PHASE
One critical phase.

For a pitch, project launch, approval phase, ongoing changes or a situation that needs to be restructured.

For example: pitch · tender · stabilisation
ADVISORY
One independent partner.

As ongoing sparring across relevant project phases — without taking over operational delivery.

For example: reviews · management sparring · project advisory
Frequently Asked

One more question?

Many engagements do not start with a finished brief. They start with a situation where a second perspective feels useful.

Not only when a project becomes critical. An independent perspective is especially useful before important decisions, around complex proposals or budgets and whenever several interests and interfaces come together.

Yes. A clearly defined review can stand on its own. It does not need to lead to a long-term engagement. If additional support becomes useful, you decide afterwards whether SP:H should remain involved.

Yes. Our role is not to replace existing partners. We work on the client side and can collaborate with existing agencies, production partners and suppliers within the current project structure.

Yes. Many engagements begin exactly there. We first establish a concise view of the current situation, available documents, budget, timing and key decisions. From there, we define where our involvement genuinely adds value.

No. That separation is part of our positioning. SP:H advises, reviews, structures and supports. Operational delivery remains with your organisation or the agencies and suppliers you have appointed.

The next step

You do not need the solution yet.
A good question is enough to start.

Tell us briefly where your project stands or which decision you are currently facing. Together, we will look at whether SP:H can add value at this stage.
